Grab cross-strait LED lighting market share with price advantage

Neo-Neon LED Lighting International has developed own brand LED lighting products to enter the distribution channels in both Taiwan and China, and plans to establish flagship retail stores in Taipei, Taichung and Kaoshiung by the end of the year with main emphasis on indoor 7W and 9W light bulb applications. Neo-Neon will lower retail prices of its latest light bulbs to around NT$500 (US$15.8) to gain market share with an aggressive pricing strategy.
Taiwan's LED lighting market is entering a high-growth period. In addition to Delta Electronics, which has already begun selling its own brand LED light bulbs via the Internet and traditional channels, Neo-Neon has strengthened its presence in the own brand lighting sector as well. It has introduced a series of LED products for both indoor and outdoor usages in Taiwan via 3C retailers and hardware chain stores. The company also made inroads to the Chinese market in July.
Neo-Neon is currently developing other indoor applications and is working with interior designers to offer solutions for different styles and special needs.
With capacity in LED chip production, its vertically integrated strategy provides an advantage in cost and pricing. It has recently lowered the prices for its latest light bulbs to around NT$500 in an attempt to grab a larger share of the market.
